Homebuyers will have the unique opportunity to purchase a completed, architecturally-designed home from DevelopmentWA, which has partnered with one of WA’s leading builders to deliver a range of quality terrace residences at its Shoreline estate in North Coogee.
The partnership with Terrace – part of Western Australia’s largest residential home builder, BGC Housing Group – will see the delivery of 35 new homes within the Salt Lane precinct at Shoreline. A selection of 14 homes will be sold by DevelopmentWA on a turnkey basis with the remaining 21 homes to be sold as house and land packages.
The terrace homes at Salt Lane will feature bespoke design, clever use of space and natural light, and strong sustainability features such as solar passive design. The first 7 homes are expected to be released to market in the coming months.
DevelopmentWA Chief Executive Frank Marra said the partnership with Terrace aligned with the vision for Salt Lane, which was to apply a fresh approach to medium-density housing and provide a diverse range of homes for residents.
“Salt Lane is a DevelopmentWA Innovation through Demonstration project, with a focus on good design and sustainable development – providing a coastal village lifestyle with urban quality and convenience,” he said.
“With this partnership, we’re showcasing high-quality, architecturally designed homes to the market, and introducing genuine diversity and new options for buyers.
“They will have the comfort and security of purchasing direct from DevelopmentWA, and knowing their new home has been constructed by one of WA’s leading builders.
“The new terrace homes at Salt Lane are a prime example of our ongoing commitment to finding new ways to meet the housing needs of Western Australia’s growing population into the future.”
The announcement of the partnership follows the opening this month of adjoining parklands, featuring kick-about space, shaded areas, picnic tables and benches, barbeque and a boardwalk.
Terrace partnered with DevelopmentWA to deliver three-storey terrace homes on Moonlight Street at Shoreline, which were released to market earlier this year. Two remain available and start from $638,000.
Salt Lane is the medium density precinct within Shoreline, which will ultimately provide up to 2,500 new homes for approximately 5,000 people just ten minutes from the port city of Fremantle.
On completion, Shoreline will include a primary school and provide over 10,000sqm of retail and commercial space, supporting 780 jobs.
