East Subiaco Redevelopment Project front and centre at the WA Major Projects Conference

Australia’s largest state is gearing up once again to host the annual WA Major Projects Conference on the 4th & 5th March at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. With residents feeling the impact of a bountiful mining boom, the upcoming event will explore major infrastructure projects that are currently underway and in the pipeline.

In order to best serve the state, newly launched DevelopmentWA (the product of a merger between LandCorp and MRA) will provide ongoing expert and advice to the WA Government in regard to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of major infrastructure project planning and coordination.

A project of high importance to DevelopmentWA, and residents across Perth, is the impactful SubiEast Redevelopment.

Rejuvenating 35ha of underutilised land, the SubiEast project will transform the area that leads into Subiaco and create the well-connected, safe and thriving city village that the community needs. With diverse housing options suited to people from all walks of life, the new Bob Hawke College and high-quality recreation spaces, SubiEast is set to become a jewel in Perth’s crown.

The upcoming WA Major Projects Conference will shine a spotlight on the SubiEast Redevelopment, and many other projects currently underway or in the pipeline across the state.

DevelopmentWA’s Chief Executive Frank Marra will deliver a keynote presentation, showcasing the key aspects of the SubiEast project as well as the latest updates and timelines for its execution. The project is expected to generate 2,700 jobs during construction as well as create 650 permanent positions upon completion.
