DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION - LOT 500, 501 AND 101 WELLINGTON STREET, PERTH (KINGS SQUARE 5 – PERTH CITY LINK)
PROPOSED 27 STOREY MIXED LAND USE DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC REALM LANDSCAPING WORKS
We invite comment on a proposed 27 Storey Mixed Land Use Development and Public Realm Landscaping Works located at Lot 500, 501 and 101 Wellington Street, Perth (Kings Square 5). The site is located within the Perth City Link Project Area.
The development application comprises of a 27-storey building, inclusive of 47 car parking bays at basement level, restaurant/café and tavern tenancies at ground and Level 1, terraced co-working and conference centre and 20 storeys of office floorspace.
The development application seeks approval for variations to the Perth City Link Design Guidelines, including:
• 27 storey building height, exceeding the permitted height of 25 storeys;
• tower setback to the eastern boundary reduced from 6m to 1m, resulting in a separation distance 10.25m from the neighbouring tower, in lieu of 20m; and
• 2.85m – 6.9m tower setback to the northern boundary, in lieu of 6m.
