We invite comment on a development application for a proposed 17 Storey and 19 Storey Mixed Use Development at Lot 500 Reserve Street, Scarborough. The site is located within the Gateway precinct of the Scarborough Redevelopment Area.
The application proposes the following:
- 19 Storey and 17 Storey towers with 3 and 4 storey podiums, comprising 258 dwellings, residential amenities including outdoor swimming pools, garden, gym, sauna, cinema room and lounge/dining areas, public viewing deck, a total of 545m2 Net Lettable Area, including one café/retail, a restaurant, a wine bar and two commercial tenancies, and a total of 591 car parking bays including 150 public bays; and
- The following key variations to the Scarborough Design Guidelines:
- The 17 storey and 19 storey tower height, exceeding the permitted 8 storeys height limit and 12 storey bonus height; and
- The four-storey podium height exceeding the maximum three-storey permitted height.
