We are working with a preferred proponent to explore an opportunity to develop almost 40ha of land into a master planned community.

With the potential to yield up to 700 homes, the proposal includes a diverse mix of higher density development and conventional single residential housing.

An exciting feature is the possible use of elevated housing options in the south and east of the site where the land is lower lying. This style of housing will suit the climatic conditions of the area and allow better use of the space under development, both for parking and living. This new approach to development will also reduce the need for fill which can be expensive in the Pilbara region.

Located approximately four kilometres east of Port Hedland, the Athol Street Cooke Point Project is 500 metres from the coast adjacent to the idyllic Pretty Pool Creek system.

The proposed development includes the creation of an urban village with a mix of commercial, retail, cafes and short stay accommodation.

The village will greatly improve the level of services and amenity on offer in Port Hedland, which is consistent with the State Government’s Pilbara Cities vision.
