Life at the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct puts you in the heart of the Murdoch Activity Centre, an emerging hub for health, education and technology just 12km south of Perth's CBD.
Delivery of the 9.6 hectare site will be the first milestone project for the development of Murdoch Activity Centre, which is set to become one of Australia's most vibrant non-CBD employment centres.
Within easy walking distance of the Murdoch train and bus interchange, Fiona Stanley Hospital, St John of God Murdoch, Murdoch University and South Metropolitan TAFE, the project offers an opportunity to live, work and study in a prime location.
At the centre of the action
The area is already a busy hub — where huge numbers of workers, residents and visitors converge each day.
It is surrounded by major employers and centres of learning, and linked by modern transport routes and high quality, existing public transit infrastructure. These include:
- Murdoch University, with 22,000 students and 2,000 staff
- St John of God Murdoch, with 1,700 staff and 5,250 inpatients a month
- Fiona Stanley Hospital, with 5,000 staff and more than 8,500 inpatients and 26,900 outpatients a month
- Murdoch train and bus interchange, which sees 8,400 passenger boardings each day
Using the strength of this emerging health and education precinct as its foundation, DevelopmentWA is developing the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct's land infrastructure and public spaces.
Its work will help deliver a diversity of residential dwellings, exciting commercial, retail and hospitality space, and employment opportunities for Western Australians.
