Dedicated busk stops located throughout Yagan Square are available for street performers to operate and bring vibrancy to the precinct.  Whether you’re a singer, acrobat or any other unique act, Yagan Square is the perfect place to showcase your talents. 

Please follow the City of Perth Busking Guidelines and have your Buskers Permit ready before performing. There is no need to book, simple show up. 

As one of Perth’s most prominent public precincts, Yagan Square offers spaces for a variety of events, including:

• The Amphitheatre – A tiered outdoor venue perfect for performances, cultural celebrations and community gatherings. 

• William Street Mall – A high-foot-traffic space ideal for activations, pop-ups and public events.

If you are an event organiser looking to book an event space at Yagan Square, follow these steps:

  Please download and read the Yagan Square Event Application Pack.  The Event Application Pack provides a detailed site overview, event guidelines, approval processes and safety protocols.

• Contact our team 
  We will discuss your concept, suitability, available dates and requirements. A site visit may be required.

• Submit your application 
  If your event is a good fit, we’ll ask you to complete our online Event Application Form.

It’s essential that you have discussed your idea with our team before submitting an application.

A number of approvals may be required from City of Perth depending on the details of your event and additional fees may apply. We will discuss these with you when you first contact our team.

Health compliance

The City of Perth Environmental Health Unit is responsible for all matters relating to approvals for noise, capacity, safety, structures, food, water and toilets. Roads and footpaths

If you have an event that requires the use of the surrounding and/or internal roads or footpaths you will also need to liaise with the City of Perth (Approvals Unit 08 9461 3419). Fees may apply.
