DevelopmentWA is the State Government’s central development agency, operating across Western Australia with a diverse portfolio of industrial, commercial and residential projects. We operate under the Western Australian Land Authority, Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and Hope Valley-Wattleup Redevelopment legislation.

Formed through the merging of LandCorp and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, we have more than 50 years’ experience in transforming land across WA.

Our track record includes the creation of new cities and communities, precinct-scale urban renewal and major destination projects to support and shape WA’s growth. These include the master-planning of Joondalup and Alkimos, the redevelopment of Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square and the Scarborough Foreshore and the transformation of Karratha and Port Hedland.

Our next chapters will include the renewal of the East Perth Power Station, Subi East and development of the State’s premier industrial region – the Western Trade Coast. We will also focus on the establishment and support of agri-business at Peel Business Park in Nambeelup.

We undertake the complex, strategic and long term projects not feasible for the private sector, but which, throughout the project lifecycle, create viable opportunities for industry involvement.

Working closely with government, partners, industry and the community, we provide a bridge between private industry and the Western Australian Government to secure community outcomes.

We aim to create the best places in Western Australia for people to live, work, visit and do business. Across Western Australia we are delivering sustainable communities, prosperous industry and resilient regions.
