Telethon Family Festival

Drawing thousands of families each year, the popular event is part of the 59th annual Telethon Weekend. From 10am, the festival will take over the city, stretching from Yagan Square along Wellington Street to RAC Arena, with free entertainment, activities and excitement for all ages.

At Yagan Square, a magical experience awaits the young and young at heart, with a real-life mermaid and merman show inside a larger-than-life 12-metre aqua tank. Watch these mesmerising sea creatures glide through the water and playfully interact with audiences as they surface for a break.

Between shows, visitors can join the mermaids for storytime, enjoying enchanting tales designed to spark imagination, wonder and curiosity.

There will also be free Fat Cat face painting, giving children the chance to transform into Telethon's beloved mascot.

Entry to the Telethon Family Festival is free for all ages.
