Circular Fashion Festival returns to Yagan Square
Perth's Circular Fashion Festival returns this month and Yagan Square is front and centre of this year's program, with fashion runway shows, vintage markets and an attempt at the world's largest collective mending event.
Following the success of its debut at Yagan Square in 2025, this year’s festival features an expanded three-month program across several new locations, including WA Museum Boola Bardip, North Metropolitan TAFE and PS Art Space. Running from September to November, the grassroots initiative aims to inspire more responsible fashion choices and build awareness of a circular fashion future that’s better for people and the planet.
In 2025, the festival diverted more than 1,000kg of textiles from landfill and repaired 298 items through The Great Global Mend. More than 35 free public events were delivered as part of the program, attracting almost 7,000 attendees.
The Circular Fashion Festival is run by the Circular Fashion Council, led by board and committee members Hazel Law, Heidy Sands, Elsa Durward and Charlie Smith.
