Embark on a city adventure these school holidays

With school holidays among us, there’s an activity for everyone in the family at Yagan Square. Whether you have an hour or half the day, activities are on from day to night, including restaurants for a snack or meal.

Little Lights in the Square

Planning a trip to Lightscape during the school holidays?

Start your night at Yagan Square. Meet giant snow globe ballerinas, add sparkle with glitter and glow-in-the-dark face painting and learn a few circus tricks at interactive workshops.

Little Lights in the Square runs until 19 July from 5pm-9pm.

Free Lightscape shuttle buses run from the Perth busport (next to Yagan Square) from 6pm on event nights.

Yagan Square Artwalk

Explore Boorloo (Perth) history through the Yagan Square Artwalk, once a meeting place for generations of Whadjuk women.

From the Yagan Square amphitheatre to the Yagan Square mall and wildflower garden, discover iconic cultural symbols to sculptural works and digital canvases.

Meet the artists through their videos, and download the map to start your artwalk at the corner of Wellington Street and William Street.

Ngaank-Boodja

Experience the immersive soundscape of Ngaank-Boodja at the Yagan Square Amphitheatre.

Ngaank-Boodja (mother country), created by award-winning Noongar producer and artist Karla Hart, is a soundscape of the voices, songs and sounds of women’s country.

Wander through Yagan Square Amphitheatre and be surrounded by the immersive sounds of this place.

Audio stories are played on the hour from Monday to Sunday, 7am to 6pm.
