Yagan Square home to Perth's Best Hospitality Venue
Stories has been named Perth’s Best Hospitality Venue for the second year running at the 2026 Australian Hotels Association WA Awards for Excellence, adding to a growing list of accolades for the Yagan Square dining destination.
Since opening in April 2024, Stories has brought a new dining and nightlife experience to Yagan Square. Spanning five storeys, the venue features four restaurants, nine bars, a speakeasy, rooftop bar and the city's biggest beer garden.
Nokturnl, the team behind some of Perth’s most-loved hospitality destinations, including The Beaufort, The Old Synagogue, Stories and the recently opened The Queen’s Arms, picked up four wins at this year’s awards, including being named WA’s Best Group Venue Operator.
KARLA at Stories has taken home back-to-back awards after it was named Best Metropolitan Restaurant for the second consecutive year, while Restaurant Manager Stevie-Ray Jury was also recognised with the Restaurant Manager Award.
KARLA is Stories’ modern Asian restaurant, where cooking over flames and coals takes centre stage. Drawing inspiration from the Noongar word for ‘fire’, the restaurant celebrates locally sourced produce and native Australian ingredients.
