• Survey shows residents are optimistic about upcoming Mount Lawley redevelopment
  • Residents value greenery, recreational facilities and performing arts
  • Desire for more hospitality venues and public open space.

A recent survey which collected over 300 responses, conducted within a 1.5km radius of the ECU Mount Lawley site, has revealed valuable insights into what local residents cherish most about Mount Lawley and their views on the upcoming redevelopment.

The survey found that parks, greenery, and proximity to Perth Central Business District, are top of mind for local residents when reflecting on what they value most about the suburb.

Recreational facilities and performing arts are particularly valued, with 1 in 4 respondents indicating they would like to see some aspect of the WA Academy of Performing Arts facilities retained.

The survey highlighted a diverse range of desires for the redevelopment: hospitality outlets and public open spaces topped the wish list, reflecting the community's interest in vibrant, communal areas.

The survey results will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision for the site, which is anticipated to include diverse living options and community amenities.
