PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION – HIGH WYCOMBE COMMUNITY AND RECREATION AND SPORTING FACILITY, CAFÉ/RESTAURANT AND CHILDCARE CENTRE
We invite comment on a development application for a proposed community facility, recreation and sporting facility (aquatic centre, gym, indoor sports courts, community/allied commercial spaces), café/restaurant and childcare centre at Lots 724, 725, 5 and 6 (Nos. 2, 6, 11 and 31) Sultana Road West, Lot 9 (No. 21) Ibis Place, Lot 33 R52397 and Lot 377 R52399, High Wycombe. The site is located within the High Wycombe Project Area of the METRONET East Redevelopment Area.
The two-storey development will deliver significant community infrastructure, including:
- Aquatic Centre: Indoor and outdoor pools, waterslides, spa, sauna, and wellness facilities.
- Gymnasium and Recreation Centre: Fitness areas, group exercise spaces, and high-quality training facilities.
- Indoor Sports Courts: Multi-purpose courts for basketball, badminton, volleyball, and other activities.
- Community Halls and Meeting Spaces: Flexible-use areas to support local groups, events, and cultural activities.
- Commercial and Allied Health Spaces: Offices, childcare facilities, café, and retail spaces to activate the precinct.
- Public Open Space and Car Parking: High-quality landscaped areas and convenient parking to support accessibility.
