Construction is officially underway at the former Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) site, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for Subiaco.
Now known as 1909, in honour of the year the original children’s hospital first opened, WA-owned contractor RJ Vincent has been appointed to deliver civil and landscaping works, laying the groundwork for up to 1,000 new homes.
The redevelopment will deliver 6 new apartment sites, vibrant public spaces, repurposed heritage buildings and a memorial garden to pay tribute to PMH’s legacy.
1909 Subi East will play a pivotal role in the ongoing rejuvenation of Subiaco, bringing new residents, visitors and economic activity to the area.
We can’t wait to see the site’s iconic Boiler House and chimney stack be transformed into a new hospitality venue and community meeting place.
