Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) - Overview

A World Leading Facility

Strategically located 40km north of the Perth CBD in Western Australia, the 51-hectare Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (the AARP) was purpose-built for testing, research and development, and training, in autonomous, remote operations, and robotic systems and equipment.

The AARP provides local, national, and global companies with a unique testing and development environment that is unparalleled in Australia, and one of the biggest facilities of its kind in the world.

Launched in October 2021, the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct currently provides extensive test beds, freehold lots and an onsite office for industry use. Over the next three years, the AARP will be developed into an outstanding facility for innovation, with a state-of-the-art Common User Facility operation building, research and development facilities such as laboratories and design co-labs, and advanced test beds with multiple areas and roadways for physical testing. These facilities will enable companies and researchers the opportunity to accelerate technology and analytics testing and scaling without interrupting on-site production and activities.

The AARP will also help prepare Western Australia for future industries and support local jobs in the fields of robotics, automation and remote operations.

Industry interest in the AARP has been strong across a range of sectors including mining and resources, research and education, technology innovation, remote operations, and drone and robotics suppliers.

Test beds, leasehold lots and an on-site office are available now. Find out more about AARP Facilities.
