The Bentley Place Plan is a collaborative, action-focused roadmap designed to shape the future of the Bentley Redevelopment Area. Developed in partnership with Town Team Movement and DevelopmentWA, it brings together local residents, businesses, community groups, educational institutions, and government to create a vibrant, connected, and inclusive neighbourhood.

The plan includes information including:

• Who is responsible for implementing the plan and their responsibilities
• How the plan will be monitored, evaluated and updated
• Information about the community (vision, history, key socio-economic characteristics)
• Summary of community stakeholder engagement issues that informed the plan
• A schedule of proposed community events and activities

Town Team 6102: DevelopmentWA’s committed approach is to help Heartwood Bentley residents connect to Town Team 6102, which is an already established local group that actively engaged with the project area.

How to join: Getting involved is easy - you can support an existing initiative, participate in a quick win or help to organise a bigger initiative. Who the group may include: Town Team 6102 welcomes all individuals and groups, including local residents, business representatives, school representatives, People Helping People, and Chung Wah Association representatives.

DevelopmentWA has committed to a program of free community events and activities.

Heartwood Bentley is conveniently located near a number of schools, community centres, and local amenities, including:

• Primary Routes: high demand corridors connecting major destinations and are the backbone of cycle networks. Primary routes are often located next to major roads and railways.
• Secondary Routes: moderate level demand corridors which connect primary routes and major activity centres such as shopping precincts, industrial areas, as well as health, education and sporting facilities.
• Local Routes: lower-level demand corridors than primary and secondary routes, and provide access to other routes, local amenities and recreational spaces.

Come and experience the Manning Road Farmers Market each Saturday from 7:15am - 12pm on the corner of Manning Road and Dumond Street.

With over 80 stalls to explore, you'll find locally sourced produce ranging from fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, and a wide range of other delicious delicacies.

Heartwood Collective is a communal, volunteer-supported community garden located on-site at Heartwood Bentley which hosts events such as gardening and horticultural workshops, cooking, life skills and food literacy, and sustainability, recycling and upcycling workshops.
