DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION – LOT 1-12 (NO.10) ADELAIDE TERRACE, EAST PERTH (FORMERLY FRASER SUITES)

We invite comment on a development application for the proposed Adaptive Re-Use of the former Fraser Suites development to Specific Purpose Accommodation (Affordable Housing), Office, Shop, Restaurant/Café and Health and Social Services at Lot 1-12 (No.10) Adelaide Terrace, East Perth. The site is located within the Queens Precinct of the Riverside Project Area in the Central Perth Redevelopment Area.

The proposed development is comprised of:

  • adaptive re-use of 236 Short-Stay Accommodation units to permanent residential Specific Purpose Accommodation (Affordable Housing) apartments;
  • alteration of the Basement 01 exclusive use strata area to remove 32 parking bays and add residential stores and a service bay;
  • change of use of the ground floor commercial tenancies to permit Office, Shop Restaurant/Café and Health and Social Services;
  • adaptive re-use of the ground floor and Level 01 Short-Stay Accommodation Facilities to Residential Communal Amenities including a new function room, co-working space, shared kitchen, lounge and laundry; and
  • landscaping works on the ground floor and Level 01.
