Amendment to Development Policy 9 - Affordable and Diverse Housing

Following public and stakeholder consultation in August 2025, amendments were made to the development policies to address feedback received, including clarifying terminology, introducing performance standards for build‑to‑rent developments and adding guidance on alternative affordable housing initiatives. The amended development policies were presented to the DevelopmentWA Board for consideration on 23 February 2026, where they were approved with minor modifications.
