Cultural Walking Tours
A captivating series set to enrich the cultural story of Elizabeth Quay.
Every month from October 2025 to May 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to embark on engaging guided tour available on Tuesdays with Walter McGuire and his team from Go Cultural Aboriginal Tours. Through expert storytelling, participants will delve into the rich history of Elizabeth Quay, the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) and the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Offering a glimpse into the world's oldest living culture through ancient Dreamtime stories, traditional songs and Noongar language, this cultural walking tour is guaranteed to surprise and alter your perceptions of modern city life.
Learn how the natural world, the six seasons and elements have influenced the day to day lives of Noongar People, determining their unique spiritual connection to this Boodjah (Country) and experience an interactive cultural artefacts display with Q&A at the end of this insightful tour.

What to bring
Please bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and an umbrella if needed.
This wheelchair-accessible tour is an easy 200m walk with no stairs. Shaded seating is available along the way, and the tour runs for approximately two hours.
Meeting location
Please meet at the lawn area near the Elizabeth Quay Carousel.
