The 1909 precinct will support private, affordable, and social housing across six high density apartment blocks. The 1909 precinct is ideal for affordable and social housing given its location next to major public transport including free CAT buses, high-frequency bus routes, and the West Leederville Train Station. It is also within walking distance of shops, parks, schools, health services, and jobs. This level of amenity and connectivity makes everyday life easier, more affordable and more inclusive for residents.

The remaining lots will be released in stages in response to market demand, ensuring a healthy supply of development opportunities over the next five or so years.

Construction typically commences within two years and build timeframes can vary between two to three years.

The former PMH site, now known as 1909 Subi East, will deliver around 1,000 new dwellings across six apartment sites.

Building heights will be staggered, with setbacks softening the interface between the development and the surrounding neighbourhood. Lower buildings will be located at the boundary of the site, and the tallest buildings (up to 30 storeys) will be located in the centre of the development.
