At its meeting on 3 August 2026, the Midland Land Redevelopment Committee (LRC) considered the proposal and requested further information regarding the application of Section 1.5 (Discretionary Clause) of the METRONET East Bayswater Project Area Design Guidelines, together with minor amendments to the recommended conditions and advice notes.

The requested information was subsequently provided and considered by the LRC through an out-of-session meeting on 7 August 2026. Following consideration of the additional information, the LRC resolved to:

1. note the detailed assessment of the proposal against Section 1.5 (Discretionary Clause) of the METRONET East Bayswater Project Area Design Guidelines; and
2. approve the proposed nine-storey mixed-use (social and affordable housing) development at Lots 40, 41 and 42 (Nos. 7, 9 and 11) King William Street, Bayswater, subject to the updated conditions of approval and advice notes.
