The proposed 271ha Preston Industrial Park – Northern Precinct will provide an industrial estate supporting the region's growth and facilitate the creation of an estimated 1,130 jobs.

Few locations can match the strategic advantages of this industrial park. It is a highly valuable location due to its size, excellent transport links and proximity to a major city and port.

Bordered by the Australind Bypass, Forrest Highway, South Western Highway and Willinge Drive, the proposed development will include an Environmental Management and Enhancement Package that addresses the area's environmental values, by establishing a 234ha high-value conservation area that will revegetate degraded land, enhance habitat and preserve conservation category wetlands.

A district structure plan has been developed for the project, which sets the broad uses for the site to establish a high quality industrial estate and a high value conservation area.
