Talbot Hobbs Memorial
Visit the memorial of Lieut. General Sir J. J. Talbot Hobbs, one of Western Australia’s most distinguished WWI soldiers and a renowned architect.
The first bronze statue of its kind cast in WA, it remains a key part of Perth’s Anzac Day parade, marking the spot where the salute is taken.
Hobbs’ architectural legacy includes the Weld Club, the Masonic Lodge on Hay Street, and heritage-listed homes on Newcastle Street, restored as part of the New Northbridge project.
Located in Supreme Court Gardens, the statue overlooks Geoffrey Bolton Avenue.
