DevelopmentWA invites experienced event producers to submit a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the delivery of a dynamic activation program at Yagan Square to run alongside the City of Perth’s Christmas Lights Trail.

Complementing the Christmas Lights Trail installation at Yagan Square, this activation will celebrate Yagan Square’s identity as a creative, inclusive and family-friendly cultural precinct in the heart of Perth. 

The activation will transform Yagan Square into a vibrant and joyful Christmas destination, filled with festive fun, excitement, and high-energy moments. Suggested experiences could include themed Christmas characters, pop-up street theatre, festive choirs, Santa appearances, silent disco and more. 

While the Christmas Lights Trail installation at Yagan Square is managed separately, the successful proponent must collaborate closely with DevelopmentWA and Yagan Square businesses to deliver a well-designed, innovative activation that enhances the festive atmosphere and overall visitor experience.

Key dates:

• The City of Perth Christmas Lights Trail will run from from 28 November to 28 December 2025. The trail is managed separately and is not part of this RFQ.
  
  
• The activation dates that form part of this RFQ are flexible, however, it is suggested to run two weeks leading up to Christmas (ie from 12 December to 25 December 2025).

The available budget to deliver this activation is $70,000 ex GST. Proponents must include a detailed breakdown of expenditure in their submission.
